One factor that will determine your OC success or not is Luck.
Not every chip can overclock well. Maybe you're not lucky and get the crappy one.
You can always try but be careful. Done force your chip too hard. I've done a lot things to get my 720 BE stable overclocked or unlocked but it still not capable to go anything higher than 3.5GHz. Maybe it's already at its limit. In the end, I killed my motherboard.
The funny thing is I can get it stable at 3.5GHz with only 1.344 vcore. But anything higher is not possible with any vcore.

another key thing to factor is your mobo. it's just using a 4-pin which would usually fluctuate your vcore.

from personal experience, using only 4 pin with my mobo, i could barely go above 3.5. and adding voltages from the rest of my components was a pain thing to do. so i got myself an 4pin-8pin adapter and poof.

i think the reason for my 1.475 to get 3.5 is vdrop.i think i read where different boards do better with voltage.but my temps are 28c-43c load.so im not to scared.and to get my ram to run 4-4-4-12 2.1v,i had to switch to unganged in bios.

what helped me alot on this 720x3 voltages is the link for 700 series cpu club.it shows alot of different voltages, fsb, and some other things from all owners of this chip.so if your having trouble,or your scared to go higher check out that link.(under cpus).1.4 to 1.5 is very common.so check it out.
