Default AMD Athlon 64 x2 4400+ Overclocking help!

Hi, I'm quite new to overclocking and all these tech stuffs.. I recently tried to overclock my AMD Athlon 64 x2 4400+, and overclocked it from 2.3ghz to 2.73ghz by increasing FSB to 237mhz. Im on 11.5x multiplier. I ran the AMD overdrive stability test for an hour and the system was stable. No overheating, temperature remained constantly at 63 degrees while running stablity test. Is there anyway that i could overclock it to be more stable? Or more faster, maybe to 2.8ghz? Or is it at its limits?

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 x2 4400+
Memory: 1GB DDR2 667 PC5300
Hard Drive: 150gb seagate
Motherboard: palit n68s
Power Supply: 390W
OS: XP

When you increase the FSB you increase the CPU speed and the memory speed.

Download CPU-Z and have a look at the CPU and Memory tabs.

Overclocking is a slow process of trial and error (mostly error!).

The cliff notes:
Set a low multiplier and divider and start increasing the FSB
That will show you how fast the motherboard will run.
Set a low divider and start increasing the FSB
That will show you how fast the CPU will run
Set a low Multiplier and start raising the FSB
That will show you how fast the memory will run.
Test stability and monitor temps along the way.

There are many (100's?) of other tweaks, but you have to start somewhere.
Read the stickies here and on other overclocking forums.

You can look at CPUFSB, CPUCool, and Clockgen.

Shouldnt dare overclock inwindows.
you should have a option in bios.

Try to make sure u have the latest motherboards bios.
Then Increase the FSB (could be under CPU overclocking) Enable it.
Increase the FSB till unstable. then when go unstable Increase voltage lil by lil till its stable again and proceed. Remember there all walls. aka Limits think yours might get to 3.0ghz

.
EDIT* dont OVERCLOCK if you are on the AMD stock cooler.
Ull wipe ur thermastat and most likely burn out ur proccessor cause
they arnt ment for that
