fixed.

jim, you've been embarrassing yourself lately

and to the op, well you'll be needing a board with sb750/sb710 in order to unlock that.

coz both cpus including c2 version of the 955be are usually maxing out at 3.8ghz

so it's like this

940be 3.8ghz @ >1.5v
720be/955be 3.8ghz @ <1.5v

Actually Chicago is rated as #1 most stressful city. Probably them damn Cubbies! And definitely the big Bears loss last Sunday...

Really its not a big deal. Wrong chip... The 720 is a subpar x 4 AM3/2 chip with locked cores. Some made it through as good chips. I am sure Dope will be all over that seeing he owns a 720..LOL

Ah, it's just a matter of a lower chipset than most have. For the board that I have, 3.53 on the 940 is actually great. I can get 3.4GHz at stock voltage, but 3.53 at 1.4vcore. But the motherboard really doesn't like any voltage higher than that.

Yeah, I plan on going with an AM3 board eventually . I've got my eye on the Gigabyte 790FXT-UD5P .

It's a good board, seeing how I'm using one. Just make sure your BIOS version is F5 (or later if released) if you ever get it, older BIOS gave people the shiz.

Don't mind my somewhat low OC score though, I'm using a stock cooler so I can't get the temps under control. (I don't keep it on that speed 24/7 either)
Plannin to get a better cooler one of these days...

Yeah, it was the same with the BIOS for my current board as well. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a crazy good OC on my current board.
