The 720's are chips that did not make specs as x 4 quad processors. AMD simply disabled 1 core and labeled them as 720's. Some made it through and overclock fine but some are just not stable with 4 cores. Some say they are defective cores but they just did not pass the proper spec.
this said, some will overclock better on 3 cores... some better on 4 cores. some can unlock core and some cannot. That's what you get when you buy a 720.
