When is AMD going to come out with something that will compete with i7's?

^ i completely agree with the above. I always find myself telling people to downgrade because they don't need the power. It even saves on electric bills.
Oh, and I love my Amd. I got it for a very reasonable price and it runs everything. It does everything that my brothers i7 does without the 1k watt psu or the ridiculous price tag. I only have a Phenom I x4 too.

I have used AMD for the last 10 years now, and will continue to use them, simply cause they are cost efficient for me to upgrade, and I am now completely confused with intel and their various sockets.
__________________But bottom line, I dont think AMD is going to catch up with intel anytime soon. They released the PII line to take on the core2quads and not the i7. SO the i7 is to AMD like what the 5870 is to nvidia.
