Hi guy's i am not sure if this is the right place to post this but here we go.
__________________I have old pc that is working fine i am using it to learn 3d and graphic design, my priemary software is cinema 4d, real flow and after effects all those 3 software are memory and cpu intensive specially when it comes to rendering and particle simulation. Right now i am just using it to learn but i would not mind squeezing more juice from CPU. Now my questions are. 1) should i over clock since its my only pc for learning i want it to last at least 8 more months until i can buy new 1. 2) I am ruining windows xp pro 32 bit should i go to 64 bit specially if i over clock what improvement will i see in rendering? i know its a guess but give me the best 1. 3) Ho much can i ocer clock this cpu and is it worth it, will there be big improvement in rendering speed. i did a test where i over clocked my cpu from 2.10 to 2.20 and on 2.10 it took me 42 sec to render image and same image on 2.20 took me 39 sec. 4) i have 2 fans running one on cpu and another one is attached on the door of my case. they are nothing special. any recommendations if i overclock? 5) would you know best way to over clock this machine. 6) If run windows 7 with this machine in 64 bit will i see any improvement in rendering performance or will windows 7 just suck up my cpu and memory? Thanks guys

2.I would stay away from XP 64-bit. 3.The amount in which you can overclock depends on so many factors like heat, motherboard, ram, etc. 4) A new heatsink? 5) Depends. We have a lot of overclocking guides. 6) Well, Windows 7 will use more memory, but it MIGHT perform better in rendering. I don't have any clue.

Like the other post. If you bought it pre-built (HP,Dell, etc) you cant OC that very much. It you build it from scratch then you will have a open field of OCing.

Your stock cpu speed is 2.0 ghz? If you can increase it to 2.3 or higher you can definitely feel the speed change. Be sure to use stressing programs to check if your memory and board can handle the change.
__________________I suggest adding 2 more case fans which are cheaper unless you plan to Overclock your cpu to 2.5 ghz you might need an aftermarket cooler for the cpu.

You should be able to achieve a mild overclock with that board and you will notice a difference in performance if you cant find a guide on here to help you just google the board model and you will find guides to help you with it. You might need a better CPU cooler depending on what temps it runs under load. I wouldnt be worried about 64 bit anything at the moment XP pro will do you fine save your money for your next build
