Default Bus frequency question

Hey everyone happy Halloween and all that Ive got a weird problem a couple months ago I was doing some overclocking by increasing bus frequency something went wrong and now I cant increase the bus frequency at all anything above 200 and the system is completely unstable luckily my new am3 chip is black edition so I increased the multiplier to get a decent clock but still it would be nice if I could increase the bus lol any ideas on what could have happened or how i could fix this problem?

make sure you aren't over clocking any other component except the cpu by lowering your ram timings to a lower speed.
