i have always used HWmonitor to check my temps.
i have bought a NV120(zerotherm) cooler + applied Artic silver 5. and this is the difference i see on HWmonitor 3.3 ghz @ 1.3375 ghz @ 3 cores ( 720 BE) (edit: cool n quiet disabled) stock cooler: idle: 36 C Prime95: 57C NV120+AS5: lowest fan speed idle: 21C (edit: 24) Prime95: 35 C (edit: 36) was wondering if it's really that low, i have a relative small computer case with no fans besides the NV120

To be sure i would use Everest or Core temp mate, i've have a few wrong readings from HWmonitor and it's always better to be safe than sorry.

The only problem I have had with HWMonitor is it does not read my 12V power correctly, has been this way for some time. As for vcore and processor temps, it has never let me down, reads the same as most other programs.

The bios reads the temp at 50-60% load.

I like hwmonitor for voltages and fan RPMs, not temps, everest can do the same stuff and more and the temps tend to be more accurate and it usually has more voltages that hwmonitor doesnt show
the best for temps is realtemp or core temp, realtemp looks better but they both have almost the same readings
