Lightbulb AMD Equivalent to QX9770

I have an AMD 9850 Black Edition and I was wondering if I overclocked to 3.5Ghz or 4Ghz would it at least equal or come close to the performance of the Intel's QX9770 in HD Gameplay of the latest games? Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately no. First of all you won't be able to come close to 4ghz with that thing, and secondly C2E absolutely DESTROYS 1st gen Phenom clock for clock.

1st gen Phenom's were horrible compared to Core 2 Extremes. They overclocked pretty horribly and rarely came even close to 4GHz lol.. You'd be better off getting a Phenom II X4 and overclocking it.

I think an OC'd 720 would destroy a 9850.
