Just accomplished this baby, I want to know what you guys think. Take a look at all the settings and give me your input. Ran OCCT Linpack for 15 minutes, no errors. Will be running Prime95 tonight.
*Update 11/13 Ran into some problems last night, so this morning I did some trouble shooting, I was able to hit 3.8MHz once more with a lower voltage now I'm at 1.55v, I am comfortable with max 100% load on OCCT Linpack gets to 52-53C Max. ![]() ![]() - Max load at 100% is 52-53C, Can this run 24/7(not always) with the assumption that this will past my 12 hour blend test tonight? - 1.55v vcore(I have some vdroop), is my chip going to melt and explode or I'm fine? - First time playing with the CPU NB voltage/NB Voltage, are they fine? - RAM? HT Link they seem fine?

1.6v for CPU sounds too high....

What MrAMD_Fan said. I achieved 4GHz on air back in March with 1.580V so you might be able either to reduce the voltage a bit, either to push the chip a lil further.

If it passes the stability tests, yes it'll be fine. Don't worry too much about CPU voltage (up to 1.55-1.60v). Its an AMD chip, they have yet to make a CPU that can't take that kind of voltage.
As far as the NB and RAM and stuff, I haven't messed with anything past Socket 939, so I honestly don't know (other than the Q6600 in my sig, which isn't even mine).

1.6v for the clockspeeds you're hitting (3825MHz) IS too high unless it won't do it any other way.
Provided you don't have a really crappy chip, you can use much less voltage to get the same clock. Excess voltage will only make it run hotter and it's just not neccesary to do it with in most cases. I'd go for around 1.42v at those speeds and see how it does. If it isn't stable, bump it up to the very next setting and try again. Repeat as needed to find the voltage your chip wants to run with stability at those speeds. Since temps also factor into your overall stability, I'd go for the amount of voltage needed to do it with stability and no more.

Too much voltage bro. Try to do your best at using the least amount of voltage you can afford. Otherwise not bad.

alright I'll try taking it down a notch, if it becomes unstable could I up the CPU NB voltage/ NB to help with stability? about how high should I go?

I've ran into some complications as I think my RAM is limiting me. 1400mhz and linpack will freeze on me. Regular OCCT stress tells me my CPU is stable, so I conclude that my RAM is the problem. For some reason I can't turn the divider down to 1032mhz, I'll have to reset CMOS if I do, any troubleshooting?

It's been debated that most anything over 1333MHz RAM speed is of little to no benefit. I agree dropping your divider down a notch is a move in the right direction after you sort out the BIOS problem with your divider setting. Since I don't have that model MB, perhaps someone with it could help out.
