I've just installed my new motherboard (ASUS M4A78-E) and worked out some of the kinks I was having with it. The only problem left is that eventhough I have overclocked my processor to 3.1Ghz by raising the multi to 15.5, CPUZ is still showing that my processor is downclocked to 1.3Ghz with a multi of 6.75. I've attached an image that shows CPUZ values and the system screen which shows a clock of 3.10Ghz.
Any ideas on how to resolve this? Edit. Opps, forgot to attach the picture... D'oh

Turn off Cool N Quiet in your bios. It downclocks your proc when your idle to save power.

Try running Prime95 (stress tester) with CPU-Z open.

Nothing, still sitting at 1.3Ghz. Have also tried running some source games and Batman Arkham Asylum as I knew before hand that with my setup I got 40-60 fps. This time around I was getting 10-20fps.
Edit: Just noticed that the current clock shown is half of what the stock clock should be and half of the stock multi if thats of any use to anyone?

Nope, nothing. The exact same clock speed and multi.

If you have AMD OverDrive installed, make sure the green circle in the upper left hand corner has a red ring around it when you open it up, just to be sure.

Edit: Just as I was flicking through the tabs of AMD OD, the red circle dissappeared.
