im am trying to overclock my athlon 3400+ and need to know how to do it.

specs.
athlon 64 3400+ processor
1 gig of ocz 3200 ram
windows pro x64
chaintech zenith 150 motherboard

Well, that nfroce 3 150 is going to severely limit your overclocking since it lacks a PCI/AGP lock, but all you need to do is bump the FSB/HTT up in about 5MHz increments until it doesn't boot. Then, just add a little more core voltage (.025-.05volts) and then go into Windows and run a load on the system and make sure the temps don't get too high.

You may as well dump that 64-bit Windows as it isn't worth snot anyway, and usually causes more problems than it solves.

Thermalright XP-120 or XP-90. Either or, they are both good coolers that dont weigh a frikin kilogram, and can use 120, and 90mm fans respectively. If you dont mind risking your computer with a cooler that weights a kilogram and a cooler that can use 2 80mm fans look into a Coolermaster Hyper6.
