advice on my 'new' cpu
Not really new.. lol . but new being the fact that i finaly found out what it really is.. just installed the volcano so i had a look at the chip and refered to one of those stickies hehe. So how far do you guys think i could take this?
btw went from like 44 deg to 32deg @ idle  the thing is supper loud tho hehe

crasy!
After look at the stickey about AMD cpu codes and what not, i set my speed to 166 x 13.. which is what it should be at.. but even at this speed it reboots and crashes out of games. if i hit default settings in bios, it would go to 100 x 13 ..

With my 3k+ the max i got was 2.5g with 47c max load. i have seen people push further than that with water cooling and phaze change i believe NCSA got his 3k+ to 3. sumting with phaze and krunk to 3.0 with air suicidal. pushing ur max oc with the cpu really depends on ur mobo voltage, ram, and air flow inside ur case.
Btw gotta love em preludes!!! i own a 5th gen lude
