I recently replaced the hsf on a my proc. Before applying the thermal compound I took note of the stepping:
KABNE 0544EPMW I've searched the forum for information, but so far I can't find anything on this stepping. Has anyone heard of this stepping or have one? I'm curious as to how far this cpu can go.

Definately new. Did a google search and only one website showed up, in Italian! Looks like you'll just have to go for the overclock and see what comes out.

Ive def heard of it...its an excellent stepping, I believe its a E4 revision Sandy core, Ive seen this stepping get some super high OCs, you cant find anything on it in this forum bc its an older stepping
__________________EDIT:Kevin that is not a new CPU, the stepping tells you when it was made...0544, which is last years CPU and its an older revision than the current 3700s

Dude
Put your divider to 166 Put your Multi to 10 Whats your voltage on your ram? What kind of chips? Keep upping the V-Core (But watch your temps) My V-Core is at 1.72, but I have my IHS removed. You should be able to go to 1.6 W/O a problem provideing your Memory voltage is at 2.8 or more. |

Anyways, those are the exact settings I used. I was using an Asus A8N-Sli Premium board with my ram. The vcore on the board maxes at 1.55 and I set the vdimm to 2.7. HTT Multi set to 3 as and ram timings were loosened as well. Im out of ideas.
