Default Help My OC Further :)

Here is what I have for an overclock so far...

Here is an abbreviated table of things I've tried...

The things in red show where the test failed. "DNLS" means that the system would POST, boot into windows, but the system didn't load the correct settings (Did Not Load Settings). For example I would open cpu-z and the FSB would be back to 200Mhz... why? "BSOD" means blue screen of death. I made the rows gray for tests that failed. My current settings are in green, except the timings are slightly different (refer to the first screenshot).

My real goal is to get this O/C maxed out, but with stock cooling (or with something less than $50). The screenshot is at idle temps, but after about 40mins of small FTT testing in orthos, the temps can get as high as 58C . However, when I do usual things (like play CS:S), the temps only reach 51C.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Edit: As per request, I have attached the spreadsheet for others to use if they want! The cells with boarders will fit on a page that is in landscape with top & bottom margins .25, sides .1 incase you want to print it so you can hand write in the table then input it later like I did Good luck and let me know if you have questions!

I don't have a suggestion but I do have to tell you that is a sweet excel chart you've got going on there, I used a similar but simplified one. I like yours much better, could you post the excel file for download somewhere? (Sorry this is a bit off topic)

I suppose I could. There is nothing special about the spreadsheet though. I guess it does calculate the CPU clk, HTT Bus, and Mem Clk. I'll see what I can do when I'm at work tomarrow Thanks for the compliment!

Try a lower CPU multi and a higher HTT. Some AM2 boards like high htt (1200-1300) A little more vcore and a better cooler
.
I found my Big Typhoon on these boards for $30

WBas, excellent excel spreadsheet. That OC is looking very nice and those temps aren't bad for STOCK cooling

Do you have plans to purchase a new cooler? Are you able to Orthos test with the stock cooler?

Very. Its hard for me to compare as my last rig was a single core 939 with an AC64. There is a TT120 in the for sale section for $35 I think. Those are as good if not better than the BT.

Since they are basicly the same chip, you could try these. And try disabling all the spread spectrums.

FSB/HTT: 252
Multi: x13
Vcore: 1.45v? (mines stock)
HT Multi: x4

Just a suggestion... maybe you can try. The highest i have gotten it 3.48 @ 1.57v

The issue here, s that your using the stock cooler. You will see muc hbetter results with an after market cooler. If you want to max out the OC, then get a tuniq tower w/fan. They're like $50 and work amazing.

Thanks everyone for the help so far. I will probably get better cooling eventually, just don't have the money right now.
