Hi Kencru...Welcome to the forum. I don't recall saying hi in the New Members thread so I will now.
PLEASE don't take this the wrong way because we are all here to help eachother learn and we are all more than happy to bring you up right (with the right info and all) cuz we all start at zero. It is just different that you made it here to us without basic computer knowledge so please excuse the

when you ask what a CPU is. It is just that we tend to be so technical that newbies that come here are usually a little more versed in computers...but again it is PERFECTLY fine that you are green and we will do everything we can to help teach you about this stuff. It can be confusing at first and there is a lot of info to take in but before you know it you'll be just fine. Here is a link to some of the stuff you will see/read here that will give you some definitions of things (don't be offended at the title). Any questions, just post 'em and we'll get you answers!

EDIT***Also, you may not want to reply in all caps. I am certain you know why it implies, but sometimes we are caught by surprise by someone's question and respond in a teasing manner. That is only because we are like a family our here and very well established with eachother. Sometimes we forget and poke in good fun at someone who is very serious. The all caps response gives the impression of being short tempered and we are all about being patient. I am not saying this to get on you about it...just trying to give you some insight into the group dynamic here. This is a very special place and I would hate to see a simple thing like this sour your experience here.
