I'm in at 3.1GHz

I can start to see the limits since the HT Link is now well over 1000MHz.

Prime is going!

Ok. It's been 10 hours and it's stable

Time to go for 3.2GHz

3.2GHz

Prime fails. Going to raise vcore a bit and if it fails, I'll back down.
Problem is, more voltage causes more heat which causes instability which leads to failed prime, but if I don't increase it I cant keep clocking. Last try.

Ok. I just can't get 3.2 stable, so I'll try 3.15GHz

I was too lazy to get the new CPUZ :P

I guess the combination of less heat and raised PCI-E clock increased headroom to oc...! Thanks Duke!
For some the PCIe bump helps, but don't exceed 112! Considering the PCI @ 33 and the PCIe @ 100, every 3MHz increase on the PCe sould up the PCI 1MHz, so 112 would should result in a 37MHz PCI and be safe. Beyond 37 on the PCI could be problematic.

Less heat and what may be a balance in harmonics with the increased PCIe was a winner for you

I run 120 MHz on the PCIe bus

My efforts stop at 3.1GHz. I am more than satisfied with my performance, and I will be running 3DMark05 and 06 momentarily.
