OK maybe I'm crazy, maybe I just have bad luck, maybe the planets were aligned at the time, but maybe not... I was going through my older screenshots and came across some impressive ones that I totally forgot about. I hit:
2530MHz (230x11) with 1.4v (stock vcore) 2607MHz (237x11) with 1.45v 2706MHz (246x11) with 1.53v And these were all stable as can be. So what went wrong? I tried running 1.45v at 2.6GHz (like I did oh so long ago) and my desktop is red when I boot and I get little or no sound. I need 1.53v just to get 2.6GHz without any distortion, it's pathetic. Keep in mind that I've recently prime tested 2.7 with a :turd: load of vcore (like 1.56v or something) and it was still stable even though my screen was green & yellow all over. It's not like it was before though. I'm gonna RMA my graphics card as soon as I can arrange the downtime (was suppose to be the other day and now the weekend is coming up ). If that fails then what, the CPU? I can definately send it back to Monarch seeing how I paid for the 3 year warranty. If it comes down to that I don't mind cuz I'll hopefully get the same CPU with another stepping. So what do you guys think?

Woah, that is weird, my VX was 1Gb too. Well my newer version of CPU-Z says 1Gb and it now shows the CPU core name too.

Trans, I don't know what to say. You are having so many problems with your rig.
You could try RMA'ing your GPU. Maybe see if you can change it for a different brand.... If its still the same then maybe it is the CPU but I can't see how.... btw, are you using the same BIOS that you was when you was using the VX ram?

UPDATE:
Well I noticed a little something today as I removed my graphics card and put it back to stock. 2 of the ramsinks weren't attached all the way on the RAM. You can see it here on this pic (top left 2 ramsinks). I took this pic the day I put them on and it still looks the same today. I coulda swore that I slid them back on correctly while they were drying but I noticed today that they weren't on right. In about a week or so I'll be fully operational and I hope my problems are eliminated. I'll keep you all posted.

oh... that might be causing your problem with the display. Maybe that memory chip is over heating....
