You could go buy a new HDD

1) 80GB PATA $20 (90-70 in rebates)
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1051384460160

2) 160GB PATA $30 (130-100 in rebates)
http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...017&pfp=BROWSE

And install Windows on it, then when you have the new install working, copy over all your data from the old HD (install it in your computer as well, but be sure your new drive is set to boot.

does ur mobo have onboard video? b/c then u could just run onboard, back up ur files, and then format.

otherwise, if u have an old computer sitting in the basement collecting dust (i know i do lol) u can take the video card from that computer and put it in ur good one and boot with that card in it so u can back up the files.

those are the free methods i can think of. also, maybe one of ur friends have a spare video card from an old computer.

and if u cant do any of the above options, u could always go to ur local pc dealer and get the cheapest video card u can possibly find. and install that temperarily.

imagine the wonderful 3dmark05 scores u can get for 6 dollars!!!

there ya go, itll run u 6 dollars instead of the $20 for a new hd.
