Default Help me break 10K on 3DMark06

Ok, i got my new stuff yesterday for my comp and now im on a mission.

I cannot break 10K in 3dmark and it is driving me nuts.

Im out of breathing space with my cpu. My ram has some life left in it but not sure how much.

My new 8800GT just seems to eat whatever overclock i throw at it. Its currently running a core of 720Mhz and a memory clock of 1030Mhz.

Ive tried turning off anything surpluss in vista, but i just cant seem to break through the wall.

Anyone got some advice that could help me along?

Well, for each 500MHZ you add to your CPU, gets you 100 more 3dm06 points. So try to OC the CPU to the absolute LIMIT without insane vcore (Just for benchmarking).

Also, try to get the highest shader clock on the GT that you can. Shader clock on the card adds more points than core or mem does. Just fine your MAXED out clocks on both of them, just to benchmark.

3.0Ghz - 3.2Ghz on CPU = 200 more 3DMarks (With intel C2D Cpu's anyway, Im not sure if it adds up to around the same on AMD's)

use xp... and you'll have a better chance at breaking 10k...

Sorry to say it, but you might want to go to the dark side and get a Intel cpu and motherboard... the E21xx line along with a blood iron motherboard will get you over 10k with only spending around ~$220. With a decent OC on the chip also...

Question for you!
Have you had any voltage issues with your Crosshair?
With mine the CPU and South Bridge freaks out if I up the voltage much more than slightly past the defaults!
Example, SB default = 1.5v
Sometimes at 1.575 or 1.6 it freaks and both in Windows and the BIOS it reports 1.67v or 1.72v and then Orthos gos nuts with Illegal Sumouts!

I would say thats about right, with 3Ghz I scored 10942 (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=4164626) then at 3.1Ghz I scored 11204 (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=4347421)

I agree on ocing your CPU to its limit or to where your comfortable.

I had no issues with the original BIOS and the 3600+. It all started when I tried other BIOS versions with the 3600+.
3G was rather easy with the original BIOS so I though I'd try the others to squeeze some more out the 3600... go figure
Now with the 5000+ BE some times 3.3ish isn't difficult until the voltage freaks and causes instability That is with both the 8xx and 9xx BIOS ver too!

Have you tried the 0905 Beta? Apparently its supposed to solve a lot of probs that were apparent in 0904. I use 0702 so I prolly wouldnt get what you have.

Also, I broke 10000!!

My cpu was 3.05Ghz (254x12), with my RAM at 1016Mhz, 4-4-4-12

My Graphics Card is what is amazing. Check This Out:

720 Core
1840 Shader
1050 Memory

And that is with absolutely No volt modding. This card is amazing! it doesnt even artifact!

That's really weird, you should be getting more than this surely. I broke 10k with one overclock. look:

Something can't be right with your comp I think. You must be able to get way past 10k, even on vista.
