WaterCooler
|
Everything feels cool to the touch. When I got home from work, I turned it on and it booted up fine, albeit a little slow(prorably because of the crappy old HD). I was using it lightly even, then I let it sit for about 15 minutes and it just shutdown instantly and restarted. After that I got it to reboot and it shut off after about 3-5 minutes, with the alarm. After that it wouldn't even post. I'm baffled at this one, cause it's an overheat alarm, but nothing's even warm. Next thing to try is another MB I have but I don't have a vid card for it(pci express, comp currently is using agp, and mine's watercooled so it aint movin).

Going Broke Overclocking
![]() |
BTW, HI/LOW =
"Either the CPU is not seated properly or the CPU is damaged. May also be due to excess heat. Check the CPU fan or BIOS settings for proper fan speed." So it might just be a lame HS fan. You could try slapping a spare 3 pin on the MB CPU fan header and plug in the CPU else where to test.
