Default X2 6400+

does that thing overclock well? If so, i'm seriously thinking of upgrading from my 4600+...will there be much of a performance increase in games such as TF2 and CS:S?

With 7600GT it would be better for you to upgrade the Video card and you will notice so much more difference then CPU upgrade. Are you running X24600 stock, if so that might be a different story.

Gaming has more to do with the GPU.If you want a little more CPU performance just OC to 3Ghz.

Yea, i posted in the nvidia forum that i want to get an 8800gt once the prices drop from 9800's release. But, at 160$ the 6400 looks like a great deal =)

Well i know 6400 looks good but you would probably notice 20% increase in games but if you upgrade the Video card you will notice much more more like 150% cause 8800GT destroys 7600GT.

The 6400 black will probably do 3.5Ghz and your CPU will probably do 3Ghz so I think that money would be better spent on a video card and just OC your CPU.

k guys thanx...When I get my board back from RMA I might get a better cpu heatsink and work on overclocking. If I get it to 3ghz I'll have no complaints.
