OMG! someone that had the same problem!
I had a 2GB kit of Crucial BallistiX PC2-6400, it would do exactly the same thing. I bought some Mushkin ram and the problem disappeared. It is DEFINATELY a ram issue although it is a very odd one. The only thing I could think of was maybe the contacts on the ram were faulty and were oxidizing or something to that effect. jesus, when I RMA'd my ram the Crucial support guys were baffled. God this issue cost me SOO much time and troubleshooting. (compressed air was one of the first things I tried... I practically live by that stuff)

Krazieaznboi, do you have the memory installed in the yellow slots or the orange slots on your DFI nForce 4 board?
Good luck

Everyone's posts before mine are awesome. If i would have saw this earlier i would have suggested testing all of your things with another system. That is what i have found to be the most effective with a system. Try the ram with another mobo, and visa versa.
