i get just shy of 12000 for my system. with a slight oc on vga and cpu. link every one has said. you need to oc the cpu.

so, does this seem like something may be up with my system then =/ ive clocked the cpu to 2.9, i may go to 3.0 later but im sure if i should up the voltage or by how much. urgh =[

Shat, what resolution are you running 3DMark06 in? The default is 1024x768. Most users run it at 1280x1024.

ah, well im running it at my native, 1680x1050, would running it at the default or the 1280x1024 make much of a difference? Ive just clocked my cpu to 3.0ghz, idle temps are 35, i havent benched yet, i havent touched the voltage on the cpu, im assuming i shouldnt unless the computer is unstable?

Resolution plays a HUGE role in score. Run it at default and see what you get.

Shat, make sure that overclock is stable before you do anything else. Operating under a unstable OC can lead to BSOD/crashes and could eventually cause data corruption. For stress testing, I usually run OCCT. The default 1 hour test is sufficient for stability testing. An extended test can be run with Orthos if you wish to do that as well.

The resolution is set within 3DMark06. I believe you need a registered copy to change the resolution. So if you have the free downloaded copy then I believe the default resolution is 1024x768(which cannot be changed). Verify in 3DMark06 on what resolution the app is running in.
