Has anyone OC'd the newer 5600+ the 65nm one. I have it but just wanted to see if anyone else has tried to OC and see their results. I got mine to 3.190, 220MHz @ 14.5mult. It ran fine for 5 hours then blue screen when i was playing Starcraft LOL. It was late and i didn't want to change the multiplier and mess around more, so i lowered it to 216 Mhz. But if anyone has this processor, throw out some suggestions. I want a constant 3.2 if possible.

Welcome to the site, this place is great.
Well, while I don't have that chip, but I still think I might be able to help out. What is your Vcore right now? If the Vcore is at stock, then that is most likely what needs to be changed in order to regain stability. Also, what are your temps while loaded? Had you tested for stability before you got the BSOD while playing starcraft? 3.2GHz stable should definitely be attainable, although that is getting near the max speed for the architecture of the X2's, so I wouldn't expect to much more than 3.2GHz. Oh, and if you could fill out your system specs for us, that would be great (under "User CP" which is at the top, and then on the left hand side click "add system"). Good luck with your OC

Thank you for the welcoming. I'm kinda new to overclocking and find it interesting to see what other people can achieve. My vcore is set at default 1.3v, this is the brisbane model 65nm. Does that make a difference, because i see most people have the 90nm one. I just wana see the difference, between the brisbane and winsdor. my processor runs pretty cool at 3.14ghz at about 27c idle.

If you haven't already I suggest checking out this overclocking guide, it is extremely helpful: http://www.overclock.net/amd-general...ocket-am2.html. Hopefully this will shed some light on a few questions you may have in the future. Good luck and welcome to the forum

i dont have 5600+ but i have that newer 65w 4800+ which is nothing but same with dfferent multiplier[12.5x] and i was able to achieve 400 mhz[2.5 ->2.9] with 1.35v but going for another 100 mhz was very painful and hot .......2900 is max stable many people achieved with without\little vcore change...but this speed is ur stock and probably near max of this line of cpu from amd...

You picked the right place to ask this question. BTW, how are you liking your new CPU? What kind of speed are you hoping to achieve?

Try pushing it a bit more. Watch your memory frequency while you raise the HTT. You may want to actually drop to a lower divider to bring that down. Give it a try and see how it goes. Make sure with Orthos that your also running the Blend test. I prefer priority 9 (app uses more system resources). Good luck
