Talking The new build.

Okay guys. Its time to upgrade from my socket A to a 939 baby. Heres what I was thinking. PRICE DOES NOT MATTER, if you find something as good for the same amount of money. Then link me up with it. Don't find me some x2 cpu that cost $500+. If you get what I mean.

MotherBoard: ABIT AN8-SLI

Video Card:
XFX 6800GT

Cooling: Okay, heres a decision we have to make. I can get A) Which is the thermaltake Bigwater, or B) the thermaltake xp-120 with a 220CFM delta fan on it. Heres the catch, i know they will preform somewhat the same. BUT if i get the Thermaltake Bigwater then I will get a deep freezer for it, and stick the raditor in there, in that way i will be getting very nice temperatures. Do you get what I mean? (Im knew to the whole watercooling so I think the raditor is the one that you put in the deep freezer) But ofcourse I will not be getting the deep freezer right away, and im also a noobie to watercooling. So it will be harder + there is a high chance that I will screw up somewhere along the way. What do you guys think I should do?

[url=http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835106049]A)ThermalTake Bigwater
B) XP-120 Heatsink

CPU:
AMD 64 3700+ 939 socket

All other items are getting recycled from this pc.

Josh

P.S. what do you think of the new plan out? I game a lot, so think of it through a gamers view. I will be getting another 6800GT in christmas, so that answers that question

I say get the 3700+ and the XP-120 because the 3700 will pwn any intel and it runs cooler. Also, there is no cooling difference from any fans over 120cfm on the XP-120. Good luck

getting the freezer really isn't feasible. your system will build up condensation causing moisture to build up in your pc and more than likely short your rig out.

*sorry for the double post, but just to say. I like to multitask a TON. Example of what I call multitasking. Playing battlefield 2, running itunes for music, teamspeak, a teampspeak server running of me (possiblely, most likly no), on AIM. Think a 3700+ can handle that along with 1 gig of ram?

If your gonna have lots of things running at once its better to go Intel. I can have 2 games running at the same time (1 active and 1 minimized) with Itunes running, MSN and Firefox with 6 tabs open and the game still plays smooth.

Well, I usally run Itunes, AOL Instant Messanger, maybe 1-2 FireFox tabs open, BF2, with TeamSpeak. Basicly, mainly I will be going constinly running bf2 and teamspeak, all the other applications I usally sign off, or close. But it all depends. I have no trouble at all running teamspeak, bf2, and 1 firefox window open. lol, im not sure what to do

Josh

P.S. what do you think I should do considering my curcomstance
