Actually, no, HT is NOT "HyperThreading" in this case.

HyperThreading is an Intel design feature, implemented in the Pentium 4s and supposedly also to be resurrected in Nehalem (Core i7) as well. Your description of it is correct, however.

When discussing AMDs (which makes sense here, since we are in the AMD section, after all), "HT" always refers to the HyperTransport Link (thlnk3r is absolutely correct, as well, in calling it the LDT = Lightning Data Transport link). Basically it is the pathway for data and instructions from the CPU to the rest of the system.

It is NEVER HyperTransport.

Just so I dont have to start a new thread who makes the best ram for OCing? Crucial, Corsair, OCZ, G.Skill?etc? I want to upgrade to 4gb, and theres a really good deal on some OCZ platinum on new egg right now.

BlackOmega, it's more about the type of IC's that are on the actual memory then the manufacturer. Some IC's have a higher overclocking potential then others. What OCZ set were you thinking about purchasing?

It looks to be pretty good. And at the price I cant beat it.

Another quick question, I cant seem to find the HT multiplier anywhere in the BIOS. Could it be called something different? Like "SB to NB fequency"?

To change your HT Link Multiplier, you have to change the "K8 to NB Frequency" setting.

BlackOmega, after some searching it looks like the IC's on the OCZ4002048ELDCPE-K kit are Infineon or Aeneon(based on the Infineon die). Very few were lucky enough to get over 230mhz but the average OC for this set seems to be in the 220mhz - 230mhz range.

Make sure to run memtest after you make adjustments to your memory. Run tests 5 and 8 each for at least 20 minutes. Failure to do so may result in data corruption.
