Billbartuska, ahhh so you are referring to "max combined power". Further more if the math is done correctly, I believe that PSU has a total of 31 amps on the 12 volt rail.

Thanks for the clarification

516w / 12v = 43a (31 ??)

Billbartuksa, I'm using this thread for reference. See post #21 by linskingdom. You also have to minus the wattage on the +3.3volt and 5volt which is obviously separate from the max combined power on the 12volt rails.

Good luck

No, the spec says 516W for the combined 12V rails, and 140W for the 3.3 and 5V rails combined...even though (3.3 x 24) + (5 x 24) = 199.2W. At least that's the way I read it.

My point is that, when you look at the specs, they are clearly a marketing ploy devised to confuse any nOOb who can't convert Amps to Watts and v/v.

Billbartuska, my apologizes. The OCZ label was putting the +3.3 and +5volt together. Apparently this label is different. Yes you are correct, 43amps total is the correct number (516/12).

Good job

I don't see it as an issue of being right or wrong. It's an issue of being informed or clueless. Welcome to the world of the informed overclocker!
