Um yeah....my FSB seems to be dynamic. Im running cpu-z and Im watching my bus speed, core speed and HT link all change constantly. Also, Im running PC ProbeII to monitor temp and Voltage levels those are all over the place also setting off the alarms. Like the Vcore normally sits steady @ 1.39 it jumped to 1.44, the +12 jumped to 12.5v. What is goin on? IS my new PSU taking a dump already?
-P.

This sounds more like a power saving feature, I think for AMD it's called cool n' quiet and can be disabled in the BIOS. Can an AMD user confirm this?

OK I checked it. Its disabled. I also set the overclock feature to manual, it was set to auto. THe voltages seem to sit steady now, but the FSB is still bouncing around.

BlackOmega, how much is the HTT (reference clock speed) increasing and decreasing? Make sure any options related to "Throttling" or "Spread Spectrum" are also disabled in the BIOS.
On my machine while in CPU-Z, my HTT goes up and down .2 (3000.7 - 3000.9). This type of issue is not uncommon. I would also ignore the voltage readings that you're getting for your PSU in Windows. Software monitoring isn't all that accurate. A more accurate way would be to measure the voltage ratings (12volt, 5v and 3.3v) with a multimeter. Check out this link. Should explain this procedure: http://www.clunk.org.uk/forums/guide...ing-guide.html. Let us know Good luck

also just to verify what is it you have the FSB and hyperlink speed setting to and what does it bounce around to

HTT fluctuates roughly .5 (1002.8-1003.3), the bus sits at a steady 200.6, and core speed fluctuates only .1 now. But heres the crazy part within 90sec. my vcore voltage alarm went off 8 times. 1 time it was 0.00v, 5 times 0.51v, 1 time 0.53v and one time 3.09v.
And its fluctuating now between 1.38v and 1.44v. Ive got PCprobe to refresh every second. what the F? -Omega. PS:Ill check to see if there is any throttling or spread spectrum settings and disable if there are.

those small changes in the FSB and such are fairly normal. if you are talking bout the fsb changing by like 40mhz or something like that it might be another story but I believe I have seen the FSB change no mine by up to around 1 mhz at times just depending.
__________________as far as teh core voltage issue that almost sounds like software issue or issue with the monitoring probe itself. if it really went down to 0.00 you wouldn't have time to read it as the computer would of shut off. I'm sure at .5v it would of done the same also. best way on this is to use a multimeter to verify voltages but unless you trust your hands I wouldn't do it as you can short things out.

Sounds to me that your PSU might be on it's way out
