So, I have a trade offerd to me, my xbox elite for this setup: (Its an Ad.)
AMD Athlon64 FX-57 CPU ASUS A8N32-SLI Motherboard DUAL nVidia XFX 7600GT 256 MB PCI Express VIDEO CARDS IN SLI MODE (Twice the gaming performance) Motherboard has onboard Firewire, eSATA, 5.1 Surround Sound, Optical Audio Out and SPDIF Digital Audio out 2 GB of RAM (2 x 1024 MB PC3200 in Dual-Channel mode) 2 x Gigabit Ethernet Ports 320 GB Western Digital SATA Hard Drive Pioneer DVD-RW DL Burner 120mm Cooling Fan on Power Supply 1.44 MB Floppy Drive ATX Case with front USB 2.0 and Audio LEGITIMATE MICROSOFT WINDOWS XP HOME COA (freshly loaded with all drivers and updates including SP3) Also installed is the regular useful assortment of software such as Adobe Acrobat Reader, Cyberlink DVD, Nero Essentials, OpenOffice ect. A power cord will be included as well if required ======= So, pretty good for a trade, but id like to swap my hardware, And my question: is it worth swapping out my two 8800's, my Raid setup, and the PS...? For now, currently my good Mobo has a bricked BIOS from a fail update i did some time ago.

Not worth it at all. That chip is way slow nowadays.

it depends on how much u play you Xbox
and yes, the 8800s will be bottlenecked by that CPU. imho, if u get that rig, sell it or upgrade what u can. or keep ur xbox if u play it a lot

In my opinion, only the motherboard (assuming it's completely healthy; hard to say, given its age) and the OS are worth anything. If you want to use 8800GTs on this board, the FX-57 is a bad match, as this is a single-core CPU. A dual-core would be okay, and "bottlenecks" only would matter in benchmark runs in this scenario.
Hope this helps.

That would have been a solid build 4 years ago but now AMD 64 cant keep up with current games.

The FX-57 is the fastest single core processor ever made. I sold mine for $60 last year...

some games have more multicore support than u think. it seems that WoW supports dual cores. both my cores load evenly when im playing wow, but when i play americas army, i see a much higher load on one core than the other.
single core is just really outdated now. its not old enough for a museum, and too old to use. ur stuck in the middle lol

If you're like me and have an Xbox 360 that gets used maybe once every two or three months, then I'd do the trade. If you use it more often than that, I would just keep with what you have.
The only reason I would trade for that system anyway is for nostalgic feelings of the old FX series, and possibly a file/game server.

Hum, wow, now im not sure what to do. I mean, ive always wanted a 939 system, i like to tweek around with the old hardware... Adds challenges, and makes you think "Hey, I just got GTA4 Running on an AMD 2200". Other see it as a waste of time bothering with old hardware. And it is a hard one to pick, really all i ever use my 360 for is GTA4, H3 and to stream media to my big screen.
