That setup is FTW. If the rig will be used solely for gaming, then a beefy GPU is the most valuable part you could get.

I like this build. Although personally I'd go with an LG optical drive.

i dont know about intel, so far i have learned that you can go further with AMD when on a low budget

Not in this situation. OK even if you went the AMD route, the cheapest AMD CPU that I would consider buying would be the Kuma 7750, which will save you only $5, also the motherboard would only be $25 cheaper. But when you go the cheap route thing start to break down. So I would think that a $30 Premium would be worth doing since you would be getting a very reputable Motherboard that can hit 400+ FSB Stable as a rock.
