New to Overclock.net

Thinking of building a new rig....
Hey folks. My sig is the first rig I built and thinking of building another. (I need to upgrade) I was thinking of trying amd this time. I knnow very little about amd. As you can see from sig I took low end components and ended up with a pretty decent rig. At least I think so. I've been researching amd and from what I've seen I can get higher quality parts for not alot more money. The rig i have does ok but I'm the type that always wants more power if you know what I mean. I'm not sure but but I think I wanna go quad but I'll let you guys decide If I really need it. I do some gaming (crysis warhead, cod, gta, mass effect, grid) and some video mainly movies. Not alot of multitasking but when I do I don't want my machine to slow down. Haven't decided if I'm gonna upgrade gpu or not. If I need to I will. Depends on what else is gonna cost. Haven't set a budget in stone yet. I would like to stay around the 5 to 6 hundred dollar amount if I can. The only things I'll be using from sig is psu and maybe gpu. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Sorry so long winded.
I through this together just as a starter. https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/M...px?ID=15654247 but not sure if the 550 is an upgrade or not and take my chances on unlocking other 2 cores.

I to have my eye on the 550be and I'm gonna pull the trigger tonight on it. It's a good chip and I think it will fit the bill if cost is a concern.

The 550 and 720 (a triple core) sound like they would fit what you're looking for. Fix your link, or post a screenie.
