Unhappy Pictures Artifacting?

hi guys just put together my new 550BE and Biostar 790GX.

im using on board GPU as i blew mine last week

since i booted it and got it all setup i have been getting artifacts on pictures and my desktop back ground. its very strange as the PC will not lock up it just has random artifacts on images and things?

any ideas what this could be?

Did the motherboard come with drivers for onboard video? If so, install them. My only other suggestion is to use Driver Sweeper to make sure you cleaned out the drivers of your card. Make sure you follow these instructions when using it.

Quote:
* Use the official uninstaller(s) of the driver(s) you want to uninstall.
* Reboot your PC in Safe Mode.
* Run Driver Sweeper and select what to clean.
* Analyse lists all the entries possible to remove, cleaning removes the entries selected.
* More drivers can be selected for the same cleaning process.

Yeah make sure the drivers are installed properly. Run Memtest on your RAM. If your RAM is fine the onboard vRAM might be bad.

Edit: Also make sure your cable doesn't have a bent pin.

MemTest passed with no errors!

i will need to hook up a Disk drive and reinstall the drivers.

Just a quick question. When you run memtest, should you test one memory at a time or it is fine testing with two memories install at the same time?

Thanks

Test them all together. If you get errors, run it with one at a time til you figure out which stick is bad.
