I think the problem the mods will have with a thread of that kind, is that people may want to actually start asking for parts. If I've gathered their views correctly.

I cant say that I dont want a good PC again.
But honestly, I got some... bad vibes/comments from some people from that first time. And I just want to ensure, that thats not the opinion of the wider community. Thats was the rational behind my request. NOT that I'm not very thankful for your kindness - let me just be clear.
There have been some people on here that.. trust me, I just wont forget. But more so, I think I'll remember this forum.

In another rig, I have the same cpu, 1GB of DDR, 80GB ide, 300-watt psu, integrated nVidia 6100. I dunno, if it dropped and broke or somethin, I'd maybe slam a door, at the most. Then grab a beer and watch a movie. Not hold a friggin' funeral and mourn about it all month. Valued at what, $150? Yeah...

Did you read any of the thread other than the first post? You obviously don't know his situation.

Guys like diabolical don't deserve the lifestyle they've been handed. His casual remark about what he would do if his computer broke is revealing:

"grab a beer and watch a movie"

Aldous Huxley would be horrified:

"grab some soma and watch a feelie"

Ever read his novel Brave New World? It's coming true. diabolical can't conceive of a lifestyle outside of his own, and assumes everyone is the same. He is repulsed by 'otherness'. Most of the haters in your other thread are like this too: too insulated and ethnocentric to grasp what life must be like for the other 90% of humanity not living in the States. He is to be pitied, as he will be too overwhelmed to act in the coming zombie apocalypse and will be cowering and shaking in a corner as the shambling, mindless undead hordes overwhelm him and tear into his flesh with their stinking teeth.

Well if everyone decided to come a preach on Overclock.net about their computer breaking due to a sister/brother destroying it Id say we would all have no money left

The point is yes its a sad state of afairs but really IMO Grim sounds a bit like a beggar.
