I'm starting to feel better.-I exchange words with my sister.
Just feel sad, because I've been in this void situation before. And I know its gonna be a wait.

This friend said something to me, RE: how I am with PC's:

"You're a desert frog - you stay down, and out in the dust, for a long time, but then, when the rain falls - you come out.. and WHIP arse.... then............go back into hybernation/rest again" LOL.
When I look at things - thats exactly how its been - so I guess, no I just wait a few months for some rain again lul.

Gave my friend the card to test, and as fate would have it - it was the CARD that got damaged, and not the PCI-E slot.
Somehow, I would have rather it be the other way around.

I suspect the weight of the Big zalman ALU-led cooler that was on it, had much to do with that.

So, the 7600GT and CDrom are sure damaged.
HDD's are in process.

The DVD drive was prolly dusted up pretty bad too.
But the rest are still functional it would seem.

I plan to repair the case face (crazy glue) and use an old generic PCI vid card I have.
No games - but I'll have my music / the internet / speed of the PC.
So, give thanks for that.

Hey I got the PM - thanks!

I hope I'm lucky/deserving enough. Right now, I've resorted to using a 4MB generic PCI card with this system I have here, and man - its killing me!
I cant even browse properly.
If the page has say.. pictures, then FF stars to drag/jitter, as well as does any sound playing. Ugh.

My friend - he gave me a LGA 775 PCCHIPS motherboard!
its cheap - but I'm quite thankfull.
Now, all I need is a chip, RAM and.. this card? lol
But - a card.
And I'll have a nice system again.
