you did release that amd has regained the crown with that 12core server cpu of theirs right? though they're yet to mass produce it. if they can make a desktop variant of this, theoretically speaking, i9 will simply be pawned. you can't just say that there's no chance for amd at all. who know what they have for us this 2010.

AMD has never been top dog, IMO. Sure, once they had the fastest processor. Whooo. Intel has always been the top dog of x86 processing. Not because of Faster chips, better chips, or cheaper chips. But because they have a MUCH larger user base. While that may have been gained illegally in part, it is what it is.

No brainer then. Intel has it. AMD may have some unreleased 12 core processor. But I have not seen it out in the real world yet. So it means nothing. It will be very hard for AMD to get the Performance crown back. Intel has so so so many more resources than AMD does. Would be nice to see it though.

Yes, Market Share is King. Also, I am confused. Did you say Netburst was a great idea? I certainly cant imagine how... It was one of the worst architectures of the decade... But still, Intel has the mass of the market, what does that give them? Better Market utilization Better Software Optimization More income for research More income for expanding the company Put 2 and 2 together. I don't see how it's mind numbing. It makes sense.

Sarcasm does not go well on the Internet but I think you got it.
I only say mind numbing because on a site geared toward performance your Pooh-Poohing of AMD's past performance accomplishment seems well as said. Better on a marketing site. Not one that tries to cut to the chase with facts. I have been around for a while. I am glad AMD woke Intel up, if they had not god only knows where Intel would have taken us. I really am not impressed with Intel being a Goliath, I am troubled 75% of your argument/opinion seems to think that is cool? I accept it is as you say but don't give them credit and want to anoint them as anything. If you do cool. |

No you don't say, they only make the NB and the SB and without them we would have no motherboard at all.
