And AMD, was a step behind, Phenom I was a flop and they just now have release the Phenom II's which are on par with the core 2 quads, when AMD releases their new bulldozer 32nm >4 core CPU's it is very probable that they will top i7, however Intel will have a new product, who knows, the next class of CPU's from AMD will have in store, The Phenom I-II step brought about a new CPU achitecture so it is resonable to assume that Phenom II-whatever will be a similar step, moral of the story, intel will probably remain performance kings, but AMD is at its heels at rock bottom prices with killer mobos,

Also yeah like I said before if AMD gets its new 6 Core CPU out before intel has one AMD might take the performance crown for a bit.
