Default XFX 8200 MIA78S8209 cpu mobo compatibility

XFX 8200 MIA78S8290 is compatibly with AM2+ up to 95W, but on the XFX website I found this list http://www.xfxforce.com/en-us/produc...tyList-AMD.pdf that says the wattage is the limitation and socket size is compatible. Is this true? If it is than this cpu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103696 which was on the list at 125W could possibly work because it says 95W. I guess my big question is do all AM3 95W and lower cpu work?

Baverdi, yeah you will be fine. Just as long as the processor wattage does not exceed the motherboards advertised wattage. By the way I fixed the above links in your post

Hope that helps

Thanks to both of you. First what was broken about my links, what did I do wrong? Second FLASH THE BIOS NNNOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! I have heard so many horror stories especially about my board. 1.6 is the latest release, right? I can use the winflash tool on the xfx website, right? This won't break my board, right? I am a very small fish in the computer ocean and do not want a confusing bios flash to be the last memory of this current system. Quell my nerves with some soothing bios advice if you have any. If not links, or other forums.

Baverdi, flashing the bios isn't all that dangerous. Just as long as you have the correct bios for the right motherboard and you don't turn off the machine while flashing. Other then that you should be good to go

I'm not sure why your links were messed up. They appeared to be shortened some how.

Good luck
