Yes you're right =]

Alright then, I have a few ideas as to what your problems might be.

1. Insufficient power supply

2. Viruses

Did you make sure to reinstall windows? It's usually a good idea to do a fresh install after a lot of hardware changes (like a new motherboard/cpu).

Begin with removing the 2x 1GB sticks. Because all 4 banks are full, the motherboard will already tone down memory speed. It will also tone down to the slowest of the ramsticks. If one is 800 and the other is 667, they will all run at 667. On top of that, you have different sizes and different brands. All of this together will make memory access really really slow. What you want is:

-Same brand
-Same size
-Same speed
-Preferrably only 2 slots filled rather than all 4.

We can get that to work by simply removing the 2x 1GB modules, that makes you end up with only 2 sticks of the same brand, size and speed. That way your motherboard can optimally access the ram.

Try that first, I've seen systems come to a crawl because of mixed ram configs.

The only slow part of your system is the 7600GS videocard. A new power supply will not help at all, you are currently barely using more then 175w so even a low quality 600w should easily do the job.

Perhaps taking about the 2x1GB sticks will help (I know it sounds weird). You can't use them with a 32-bit OS anyway.
