oh sorry this is actually my first blogging session... about the slowness, i just could not run several tasks at the same time without it taking for ever to respond but the removal of those 2 1 gig sticks seems to have been the problem, and now it is faster.

Don't bother with TLB. I used this and that's true it incerase Your performance, but as i remember it doesn't work with SP for any windows. Just sell that crap and get Phenom II X4 920 or 940. They got almost the same price as 9600BE and they're much faster. if You'll be able to get 920 (which one I had) just OC it to 3.6-3.7GHz and You'll see big difference. IMO... Even on stock You'll see big improvement I'm sorry for insulting Your rig, but I got this one and I decide to change it to Phenom II X4 920 and I was very happy with it I get 4.02GHz stable overclock on it

Arkheii, hence the reason why I asked which revision Phenom I he was running (B2 or B3)

Also the B3 was capable of overclocking a little bit better than the B2's if I remember correctly. The only thing that was really an issue with the B2 revision was having the virtualization extension enabled in the bios. With that enabled and running any type of virtualization software would have resulted in lock-ups/crashes ect. I'm sure the IMC was also revised with the B3 revision.

Sp4wners, I don't think it's insulting at all. The Phenom I processors were really a big fail. Lissa has a great board...a lot of great overclocking potential there. A new Phenom II processor would really bring light to everything!

Well my max stable OC on 9600BE was 2.83GHz... After that I thought I will throw my computer out of the window :P This was like ATI fisrst steps with DX10. radeon 2900XT (which I had to :P ) was fast, but not enouhg... It was really good GPU but 8800GTX was faster, a lot faster, and the same thing happened with first generation of Phenoms. They're good but too bugged for me :/

I would upgrade your memory, get 2x2GB DDR2 800 or higher. Sorry to hear the Ram was not working correctly.

Ram speed really wont affect the performance that greatly. I'd say he/she is fine with the RAM.

Lissa, I believe CPU-Z will display the revision number.

The highest processor your motherboard will support is the Phenom II 945 (95W).

Good luck
