Exactly what would make you think this with no information????? The mobo manufacturer would pretty much give my recommendation before jumping the gun..... It sould be an easy thing like badd HDD, bad cable, grounding issue.. Come on guys get with it! Hope for the best for him.

Yes you right ,but I seen crazier thing that takes out mobo like a harddrive.

This would be a decent replacement board, with a HD4200 onboard GPU:
Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H

It's Micro-ATX as well.

@jimi, good suggestion. I will take it out and build it on a box of sorts. It may indeed may be a grounding issue.

But first disconnect all hdd and roms and try to boot. If it don't boot replace the mobo. I don't think it is a ground problem.

Okay here's the update:

I took it out, and just hooked up the PSU, RAM and mobo. I set the mobo on a box, and tried turning it on. When I jump the Power-SW pins, the fans spin up for a second or two, then turn right back off. No video the entire time. I then have to unplug the ATX and wait a few minutes before I can even jump them again, and it still does the fan rev up and shut down. I really thing this is the mobo saying good-bye.

Why couldn't this be the power supply? Can you try opening up the power supply and see if the fans spend freely?

I don't know how many times I have a cheap power supply fan die and then the power supply over heats.

PSU fan spins up, and I tested the leads of the PSU. When I get home I will try it with my good corsair PSU.

Raptor_Jesus, are the rails reporting the correct voltages (ie. 12volt, 3.3volts and 5volts)? When the machine powers on it is also load the power supply a bit so the voltage readings at idle may not necessarily mean the unit is fine.

Let us know if the Corsair works

Good luck
