Are you using all the motherboard standoffs to prevent anything from shorting out?

If you did, take everything apart and rebuild it using one ram stick in the slot closest to the CPU socket.

yeah I got all the standoffs in I took it apart and put it back together I even tried hooking it up outside of the case to make sure it worked and I still got the same thing. I also tried moving the ram around 1 slot at a time but nothing. Maybe all hope is lost

Like a few others have said, you NEED a video card to post. It's essential considering the GD70 doesn't have an on board graphics solution.

POST = power on self test, guess what happens when it fails? (hint: no power on

).

I guess I will give it a try in a week when the 5850 comes in and we will see. I hope that its just their was no video card. >.< anyways thanks for everyones help I will keep you all updated when I get the card.
