Anyone else has that motherboard ? If you do, are you having unusual temperatures on your northbridge ?
It seems a lot of people has that problem, and I was just wondering if it's even pssible to change the northbridge's heatsink, or to reseat it. EDIT: Argh. Can a mod move this to the appropriate section, please ?

Yeah, the stock cooler isn't very good and loose as well. I have a 120mm fan zipped tied to my case so that its blowing cross mine. I also removed the Gigabyte logo as well. Other OCN members who have the board also read 79-80C on the TMPIN2 sensor. Some say its a faulty sensor and that's what I think it is because it doesn't change with load or with a fan blowing across it. One member actually called Gigabyte and was told it was normal.
Here are a couple other threads dealing with this issue: http://www.overclock.net/amd-general...-waggling.html http://www.overclock.net/amd-motherb...breakdown.html http://www.overclock.net/amd-motherb...ma770-75c.html http://www.overclock.net/amd-motherb...770-temps.html

Thanks, bro.
Yeah, I figured the sensor was stuck, but the northbridge one isn't, and it's pretty hot. I'll strap a small fan to it... someday. I have my Kaze Jyuni blowing right on my 4870... I tried to install the stock sidefan on the higher fan spot on the side panel, and temps got down quite a bit(about 5 degrees). But the noise was goddawful.

I have the motherboard and it is always 80c, I don't think it will affect performance....since I don't overclock and it is with an Athlon X2 240 inside family's web browsing box.
