im building a pc for my MOM (im stressing that because she doesnt game or oc or anything like that) i want to make this a stable future proof build where she spends as little money as possible, looking at either a dual or triple core (leaning towards dual) im getting an am3 socket mobo (maybe m4a79t deluxe bc newegg has some open box and i have everything else that would have came in the box) im mostly confused as to what gpu to get her... any suggestions? ram, case, hdd and psu are easy

Why not get an AM3 mobo with an integrated GPU?
__________________You don't need the 4650 unless she is going to play games. You should be able to find an AM3 board for ~$50 less that has an integrated GPU. Other than that, the CPU and RAM look like a good go.

low end machines might as well buy pre-built honestly, otherwise buy second hand parts form members here.
Would be a waiste of money in my opinion buy low end parts like this for her. Future proofing is pretty much meaningless with non gaming... Win 7 pro for her as wel? Decent Machine and A good Acer I think either of these is a good bet for the pricing. Systemax is a US WhiteBox manufactuer. and Acer is Acer, its a small PC with a quad =)
