Ok right i've been looking to upgrade a few little things for a bit now and made my decision. Please don't say something that i haven't said as it will make me all confused again and i wont know what to do
Ok heres what options i have... 1) Sell my 4890 NOW and buy a 5850 (if i can find one for a reasonable price), and then probably another 5850 for CF in Q1 of next year. 2) Buy another 4890 NOW and get a Antec 1200 in December. I will not be able to upgrade graphics any further for a while then. 3) Buy antec 1200 NOW and keep my 4890. Then around December/January sell my 4890 and make a decision on a GPU based on the 5XXX series and 300 Series price and performance. Ill have around £200 + what ever i can sell my 4890 for. Other cases that people recommend other than antec 1200 are welcome!! Thanks! Any help would be really helpful as i am really not sure on what to do.

I'd go with option 3 probably. You may be able to get higher overclocks if you create better airflow in the Antec 1200. The 4890 is quite a powerful card, so I'd get a new case and then get a new GPU.
Good luck

I would go with Option 3.
Though, I think there are some better cases than the Antec 1200 for the price. You might want to consider that.

Id say option 3. 4890s are powerful cards, it will last you a while and you'll have a new case. Maybe when you do decided to upgrade around December/January the price will drop on 5850s

Any other cases that people recommend are welcome!! I was just looking at cases and i just fell in love with the antec 1200. I get butterflies thinking about it lol

Option 3, because around December and January, more DX11 games will be released. Therefore, this will release the full potential of the HD5850.

option 2.
the performance difference between the 5850 and 4890 isn't worth the price IMO, and DX11 is currently nowhere to be seen (in games), and considering the value of the 4890 used has tanked recently, if you wait it will probably net you less.

Option 3 makes the most sense for me. The longer you are willing to hold out for a GPU the more choice you have and the more comparisons/reviews you have to help you decide, and hopefully the prices will have dropped a little too!

Option 3 for me. That way there will be price drops on more DX 11 cards, more DX 11 games out and potentially GT 300 from nVidia, so you can have a much wider decision.
There possibly are better cases for the money than the Antec 1200, but it's king of airflow, and you like the looks, so there's no problem with it. ![]() However, I would get a Cosmos S instead of the 1200, it's much bigger, and more moddable, and has potentially great airflow if you fill every hole with a 120mm fan.
