My computer seems to cycle the fans then starts to boot and at end it says "AMD Data Change - Update New Data to DMI" Then boots windows it does it everytime i shut it down. Didnt do it before i put processor in just does it afterwords. Makes me a bit mad my quad core takes 2 minutes+ longer to start then my dual.

Try resetting the CMOS if you haven't already. Either remove the battery for a few minutes or use a jumper.
Also, XP might not run properly if you put in a new processor with a different number of cores. You might want to reinstall.

If you didn't reinstall then it could cause some problems. Like said above, hopefully a CMOS reset will be all that is needed.
If you didn't reset your CMOS before putting in the new CPU, then that most likely is definitely the problem.

Well you say it works fine in windows, so I'm guessing you don't have a driver issue here, although if you're old processor's drivers are there then yes uninstall them. I do a clean install every time I change the Mobo or CPU to avoid any issues. At the very least do a repair install, IIRC you keep all your files that way.
