I'm just saying that a 600 might not give you enough headway to upgrade anything in that system. My 750 is overkill for what I've got (I've seen people do this with a 450), but a 650 would probably do it nice for you.
Also, try out this PSU calculator. I tend to add an extra ~50W or so, just because it seems to undershoot it a bit

The other thing to consider is that having 2 sticks of memory will make it easier to overclock.

This is true. The more RAM you have, the higher you need to have certain volts on stuff and it just makes huge messes with the mind for math.
I prefer keeping it simple with two sticks
