Upgrade your processor or video card. I'd say video card first.

Definitely upgrade your video card first. How much are you looking to spend?

IMO skip the SSD way overrated. I had 4 SSD in RAID0 on a PERC RAID card, just trust me they are overrated. I dont really care what other say I have been there and done that. Faster load times is all you will notice.

I second the GPU upgrade, I am not familiar with AMD or else I might have a suggestion there too. A 1TB HDD might come in use for you as well.

That's completely subjective; it might be all that you've noticed, but you'd be going against every other satisfied SSD owner, including myself, that has noticed MUCH more than faster load times. Apps left in the background that keep reading the disk don't affect focused apps NEARLY as much, if at all, as on a normal hard drive. Lower power consumption, less heat, and silent operation are also sweet benefits.

Get a HD5770 and a 1TB Samsung F3, I'd wait for SSD's to become more mainstream before jumping ship...Perhaps then save for a quad core Phenom II?

Right cheers for all the input. Im keeping the CPU so that is not an option.

Im not sure about a budget as I will need to see how much I get for christmas.

at the moment just suggest things that would help me improve my rig like a 5850 possibly or a PSU. I dont know just recommend me things that you have or would like.

A 5850 would be a real nice upgrade from your 4830. It's difficult to recommend parts without a budget in mind, hence my more conservatively priced recomendation of the 5770.

Your PSU should be OK for now, unless you are planning on going multi-gpu, in which case you may want to consider more power, depending on the GPU's of course.

I stand by the HDD I said earlier, and perhaps (if you plan on sticking with this setup for a while) double up on RAM before DDR2 gets too expensive?

Yeah, I'd get a 5770 or 5850, maybe supplement it with a Seasonic X-650 for if you ever get a second one. If you want to move up from your Midgard, I'd suggest an Azza Solano 1000 or a LanCool PC-K62, or a HAF922 if you can find one on sale.
