You should use the Bios to overclock, it's a lot more flexible.

I know this is a lot to read, but read this entire post:

http://www.overclock.net/amd-general...ing-guide.html

If you use the Bios to overclock, you push the bus speed at stock voltages until it is unstable, then raise voltage slightly until it is. Then Raise bus speed until unstable, then vcore voltage. All the way until you can't get it stable at all, then back to last known stable setting. Use OCCT (http://downloads.guru3d.com/OCCT-%28...load-1880.html) to test your overclock. 20 minutes or so should let you know whether you are stable at those settings as a small test. All the while keep your RAM at stock settings (or as close to without going over) by using the multiplier to minimize memory stability issues. Check your temperatures throughout using HWMonitor (http://www.cpuid.com/hwmonitor.php). Don't go over 60 at load (running OCCT).

Once you have your "stable" overclock, Prime95 blend test for 24 hours and do Memtest. If you don't get errors, grats on your overclock. If you do, lower Bus speed until you don't.

Edit: This is quick and dirty overclocking. There are a lot more setting you can play with to get a higher overclock, better stability, and better performance (ie the NSB and HTT).

There is nothing to worry about. All you have to do is follow instructions given to you by people here on Overclock.net, and before you know it you will be absolutely comfortable in the BIOS. You'll actually enjoy it. That's exactly how it is for everyone.

So, I strongly recommend uninstalling EasyTune 6 and using the BIOS. Otherwise, you will only end up frustrated.

I think its safer to learn and use the bios than using an overclocking utility.

Do a little reading and go from there.

With AMD CPUs, a little bit of overclocking can be done, but it's still highly recommended to get a decent CPU cooler.

But for overclocking, almost everything you need is in the MB Intelligent Tweaker(M.I.T.) area in the BIOS. I personally don't know anything more than that about this motherboard with this CPU in it.

That CPU will not overclock well unfortunately. I managed to get mine to 3.2ghz but could not get it past that no matter what I did. As far as a cooler, the Dark Knight is a good one, the Megahalems is also good.
