Default Overclocking RAM Further?

To start, I have 2 sets of http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146118 making 4 gigs of RAM. Now I have read countless reviews on how people are able to lower the timings on these to as good as 4-4-4-12. I can only get to 5-5-5-9 at 2.150v and 464.8 MHz. any suggestions? the only way I know to OC RAM is to raise voltages, have the MHz raised by the CPU, and lower timings one at a time then test. is there a way to lower the MHz so i can get better timings? would it be worth it? can I play with any other options to improves my RAM?

Your ram on that board has the option of running 400/533/667/800, so if your too high and want tighter timings then back it down from 800 to 667. But you really want a balance between speed and timings. I would stay where you are, but you should be able to run 800mhz and 4-4-4-12, also your ram should be able to hold 2.2v but don't go higher than that. When I owned that board it hated 4 sticks of ram.

the problem is I cant get to 4-4-4-12 at 800 MHz like everyone else is able to. is there anything I can do to lower the timings and keeep the speed at 800 besides by simply lowering timings and raising it to 2.2v? because I tried that, but nothing else

Have you tried running those timings with only 2 sticks installed instead of the 4? Also what have you tried so far and with what results? I kind of wonder if it is the RAM that is holding you back rather than another setting.

if you are OCing your cpu too, and trying to spit 2.2v at your ram, maybe you need a NB vbump
